spylaw4 Posted January 20, 2011 Share #6788 Posted January 20, 2011 Only 7 out of 10 I' m afraid - Vann Molyvann was not the architect. The architects were.....?
spylaw4 Posted January 20, 2011 Share #6789 Posted January 20, 2011 But it's over to Pop! Vann Molyvann was responsible for what is now the Institute of Foreign Languages (originally a Teacher Training College). There are three adjacent iconic groups of buildings along the "Russian Boulevard" in Phnom Penh, the IFL by Vann Molyvann as mentioned above with its architectural references to Angkor's Baphuon, the RUPP pictured (designed by Leroy & Mondet) and the Institute of Technology designed by a Russian team. Vann Molyvann's buildings are regrettably to a large extent under threat - see my website for further details

sunafan Posted January 21, 2011 Share #6799 Posted January 21, 2011 Hi Philipp, well, you have the bigger cathedrals up there, but the mountains here are kind of higher :-). So next chanche: Where is my wife hiking here? I would like to see the name of the very famous mountains that are close-by (often hidden behind clouds though), from which the whole area derived its name. Good luck. Lutz Welcome, dear visitor!
