Like the Scottish Highland Clearances, it looks as if some of the original inhabitants of those ruins would have ended up in America or Australia. I'm guessing there is a link to the mid 19th century Potato Famines. (I'm sure I've seen some superb photos of this area somewhere else.)

Now this can be a hard one or an easy one ... but that depends on a) if you accidentally live on or near this spot, B) have the same hobbies as I have and so passed through this place or c) are just a lucky guesser :D And yes, I shopped the license plates :D

That's it Andy. Simply superb photo. (I should add just like all the others in that same folder. I just about fell off my seat at the British Museum ones.)
