Advertisement Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 Hi SJP, Take a look here Laakhaven West, Petroleumhaven, Havenkraan No 2198 en 2199. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
stuny Posted January 20, 2009 Share #2 Posted January 20, 2009 Stephen - If not for the chainlink fence and things behind it this composition would have great beauty for its light, color, framing, detail and depth. Hopefully you'll return when the fence and things are removed, and the light and weather are similar.
SJP Posted January 20, 2009 Author Share #3 Posted January 20, 2009 Thanks Stuart, I find this is an image that grows on you slowly. The initial view may be 'pile of junk' but from a distance I find it has a nice overall 'classic landscape' feel to it. I agree the fence has to go - but I was not quite geared up to do that at 9:30 am. Other pictures in the series are here.
Michael Hiles Posted January 20, 2009 Share #4 Posted January 20, 2009 Very picturesque. The far crane is oddly elegant and shapely.
petewayne Posted January 20, 2009 Share #5 Posted January 20, 2009 Its funny how we all see things slightly differently.....I find the image overall very peaceful yet the fencing challenges the eye to focus on something less calming.....I like it!
