stuny Posted January 14, 2009 Share #1 Posted January 14, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) After I showed Barbara the photo of the workman laying track in the model rairoad at the NYC Transit Museum shop I knew I had to take her there. Saturday we stopped in to warm up and view the trains after walking about 4 kilometers. Part of the set-up had a stylized Empire State Building with Kong scaling it. I've also included a shot of a small restaurant. We've not tried it so I cannot vouch for the quality of its food.

John Thawley Posted January 14, 2009 Share #3 Posted January 14, 2009 I've also included a shot of a small restaurant. We've not tried it so I cannot vouch for the quality of its food. Don't bother.... I hear the portions are terribly small. Neat pictures. JT

stuny Posted January 15, 2009 Author Share #5 Posted January 15, 2009 Caryl - Thank you. John - thank you, and very funny. Tony - Thank you. It's interesting how certain names come and go with the times. When I was in the Air Force I had an old chief master sergeant working for me who had assembled a superb HO gauge train layout. He taught me that the most avid model railroaders don't ask what another model railroader's layout is, but instead ask when is it. they seem very serious about not having anything anachronistic. stuny Posted January 16, 2009 Author Share #7 Posted January 16, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Henri - Thank you. You are really never too old for electric trains. You might want to give it some consideration.
