samuelphoto Posted January 13, 2009 Share #1 Posted January 13, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Just picked up this camera for the usual reasons, but didn't know it had all the various film settings. Anyone have a recommendation for settings to mimic kodachrome in the jpeg output files? I'm sure I could figure it out eventually, but maybe you have some thoughts you are willing to share? Thanks! rsh Posted January 13, 2009 Share #2 Posted January 13, 2009 If you want to mimic Kodachrome, use a film camera loaded with Kodachrome.

cbretteville Posted January 13, 2009 Share #4 Posted January 13, 2009 Use the D-Lux 4 with std/neutral colour settings and use Alien Skin Exposure to mimic Kodachrome. - Carl
herbet Posted January 14, 2009 Share #5 Posted January 14, 2009 try this: - starting with the standard film setting, contrast +1, saturation -1 and shift the white balance 2 points towards blue.
(Jo)Hannes Posted January 14, 2009 Share #6 Posted January 14, 2009 Won't do it, I have tried most combinations. Best thing is to start doing this in Post-Processing, the easy manner is making use of NIK Color Effex Pro which has a preset Kodachrome, and a pretty good one at that and one which you can fine tune, I'm sure you will be able to achieve similar results with Photoshop or Elements. samuelphoto Posted January 14, 2009 Author Share #7 Posted January 14, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) OK, thanks, everyone. I figured it would be a long shot but with all the options available in the camera menus, maybe it would be cloes. I'll consider the Nik suggestion as I have their Dfine and Silver Efex software that I like a lot.
