Not the best of sunrises. :mad: Did some postprocessing to make it look interesting (I hope). Taken from about 1/2 mile north of Zabriskie Point. The tallest peak of the Panamint Mountains, the Telescope Peak, is behind the clouds to the left.

That's wonderful ! Just foe curios, did your Postprocessing involve also the clouded sky ?

Thank you. I did the postprocessing in three sections: the top cloud section, the mountain and salt flats section, and the foreground section. I did increase the contrast in the cloud and foreground sections by bringing the black point way up in the clouds section and bringing down the white point on the foreground section.

bizarrre landscap looks alien, have you been messing with the colors?

 

orange and blue always are a good combination

 

Thank you for your comment, Reinier. There was a slight boost in saturation, but the hues were not touched. Death Valley is rich in mineral deposits, and they bring about many different colors to the landscape. It's a fascinating place.
