stunsworth Posted January 4, 2009 Share #1 Posted January 4, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) When I was a student at Leeds University I lived about two miles from the ruined abbey in Kirkstall. I've fond memories of going there in summer. The last time I drove past a couple of years ago the building was covered in scaffolding. Today all that had gone and so I had a wander inside. stunsworth Posted January 4, 2009 Author Share #6 Posted January 4, 2009 Thanks everyone, I was lucky with the light. Earlier in the day it had been as grey as a grey day can be. Amazing how a little sunshine lifts the soul.

thompsonkirk Posted January 5, 2009 Share #8 Posted January 5, 2009 Agree with all the Steves & others! The way all the details are rendered, for example the alignment of the gate with the main shadow, is perfect! Kirk
stunsworth Posted January 5, 2009 Author Share #9 Posted January 5, 2009 ...for example the alignment of the gate with the main shadow, is perfect! Thanks Kirk, I can assure you that was total coincidence. Next time I'll move the gate if necessary <grin>.
