photogdave Posted January 16, 2009 Author Share #41 Posted January 16, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Maybe Leica should start making "dummies" in a range if designs to serve the people who buy these sort of things, interchangeable dots, nicely designed set of stickers to create a variety of stealth effects etc. Fancy a top design camera that never breaks, you won't be able to make pictures, but this must be of minor worry... as long as the bags, coverings and most of the dots are available. I can't see people buying these gadgets to be into photography all that much .... but then I'm probably wrong I'm interested in the Titanium edition simply because the DLux 4 is a camera I want anyway, and this edition is cool looking. I can assure you I will be using it for real photography.

Peter Duminy Posted January 17, 2009 Share #43 Posted January 17, 2009 Bought mine (Titan Version) today here in Vancouver. Only three came in this morning, and they are already sold out. It is a superb looking camera, with a fit and finish to match. I also found a Factory sealed D-Lux3 in another store last week for $499 CAN. Both cameras have a feel of excelllent quality. This weekend I am going to take some shots with both to compare the picture quality. Problem is we have been fog bound here for 5 days now. Still, I could do some indoor photography. Isabelle Lenatio Posted January 17, 2009 Share #46 Posted January 17, 2009 Isabelle they are "Picture men".......sorta like the dandies of old, but new Modern Dandies Stnami, as long as they can afford it and are having fun .... who are we to judge, and as for Dandy's I guess you are fully right about that, the world is full of them. Being a woman, and having been a girl (once) these Dandy's as you call them always lack something in their personality-, or bodily functions.... I have dated quite a few in the past, they had evrything money can buy, watches, cameras, fast cars, but lacked this that or the other .... or had a short dick .... not generalizing here though, just a memory from the past... thats all

carylwithay Posted January 17, 2009 Share #48 Posted January 17, 2009 The titanium costs the same as the regular D Lux 4 if you were to buy a leather case for the black on. So it becomes a color preference. The camera itself is an inexpensive way to get a summicron lens and a 24mm, if you do not have one. As for a Panasonic, I have one but I had to exchange it 4 times because of quality control problems. That was also a consideration.....and some of us just like our toys! Wouw, amazing people's perception associated with the red dot.

carylwithay Posted January 17, 2009 Share #52 Posted January 17, 2009 I have never had a quality control problem with Leica but I have had several with Panasonic. It may be just the luck of the draw, but that is my experience. Caryl
