Advertisement Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 Hi ijporter, Take a look here Dino 246/T - waiting to go. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
rob_x2004 Posted December 8, 2008 Share #2 Posted December 8, 2008 Where did you get that? Really interesting shot. Makes you kind of want to say that is what a racing car should look like, because it is understandable. Just as well these death machines are a thing of the past I guesss. Rona!d Posted December 8, 2008 Share #4 Posted December 8, 2008 Nice car, nice colors (but the leftside background is a pain for the eyes, isn´t it?)
stuny Posted December 8, 2008 Share #5 Posted December 8, 2008 Ian - Lovely subject, color, detail and angle.
elansprint72 Posted December 8, 2008 Share #6 Posted December 8, 2008 Lovely car(s). Drivers are much taller these days, look how low the roll-bar is! Dan Gurney and Carol Shelby excepted!
ijporter Posted December 9, 2008 Author Share #7 Posted December 9, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) Thanks for the comments - the car was at Sydney's Eastern Creek circuit and yes, I agree that the left-hand background is messy - straw bales would have been more attractive - but there wasn't a lot of choice. I've attached another detail shot of the car - I know the white feet are a distraction, but hopefully the interest of the signage will over come them! stuny Posted December 9, 2008 Share #8 Posted December 9, 2008 Ian - Thank you for including the detail. Beautiful.
elansprint72 Posted December 9, 2008 Share #9 Posted December 9, 2008 Ian, Please post some more "detail" shots; whilst you may be playing to a minority crowd here, two or three of us appreciate this kind of stuff, I've found there is a market for it. As I said elsewhere, any fule with an elektro-Canon can bash off ten shots a second of yawn-worthy ultra-sharp racing-car images but not everyone can see and capture the art of the racing machine. ijporter Posted December 11, 2008 Author Share #10 Posted December 11, 2008 Thanks for the comments - I've attached two more details shots. I'll need to plead forgiveness from members for posting a non-Leica shot (horror of horrors, I know!) but I hadn't brought my flash with me and I could only get the shot I wanted of 'the office' if I used my little Fujifilm F810 digital. I know it's not a Leica shot, but my R6 was around my neck and very close by! Really and truly! Ian
Rona!d Posted December 11, 2008 Share #11 Posted December 11, 2008 Ian, thank you! Keep on posting this stuff, i know how difficult it can be to keep the background nice and clean. Ron
