robsteve Posted October 10, 2006 Share #1 Posted October 10, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) Since my thread titled "Today's Noctilux Shots" was posted yesterday and this was shot today, It would have to be tomorrows shots ?? Wide open, Kodak Portra 160, Shoppers Drug Mart one hour develop and scan. I asked them for high rez and they make the files a bit bigger.
Advertisement Posted October 10, 2006 Posted October 10, 2006 Hi robsteve, Take a look here Tomorrows Noctilux shot. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
PhotoArchival Posted October 11, 2006 Share #2 Posted October 11, 2006 This is a lovely shot Robert. The clarity in the eyes, the bokeh, and the colors. I would be tempted to crop just above the head to make the shot a bit more tighter. I also enjoyed "yesterdays" shots:)
robsteve Posted October 11, 2006 Author Share #3 Posted October 11, 2006 I cropped just as you suggested when making my file for a 8x10 print to hang on my wall. Tomorrow I will get the print made. Here is a down sized copy of the file I will print.
jmr Posted October 11, 2006 Share #4 Posted October 11, 2006 Robert, a very nice portrait shot - one for him to look back at when he's older.
fotografr Posted October 12, 2006 Share #5 Posted October 12, 2006 Nice portrait--it should look great as an 8x10 on your wall. I'm guessing this shot and the others you posted (Today's Noctilux Shots) were done with ND filters. Is that correct?
robsteve Posted October 12, 2006 Author Share #6 Posted October 12, 2006 Nice portrait--it should look great as an 8x10 on your wall. I'm guessing this shot and the others you posted (Today's Noctilux Shots) were done with ND filters. Is that correct? Yesterday I made a print and it is now framed and up on the wall in the family room. I was shooting portra 160 and later in the day. I didn't use a ND filter, just shot when he was in the shade . The wide open shots like above were probably shot at 1/1000th.
