Rona!d Posted November 21, 2008 Share #2 Posted November 21, 2008 There was an advertising, but to avoid trouble with a french camera called "L´eca", i think they never sold it under "Leca".

Yes, the advertisings are reproduced in books from Van Hasbroek and Lager... initially Leitz thought also to name it "Barnack"... a "too german" name... but advertisings with "Barnack" name also exist. Btw, seem to remember the french camera was named "eka".
Rona!d Posted November 21, 2008 Share #4 Posted November 21, 2008 Wasn´t it "Barnack Kamera"? luigi bertolotti Posted November 22, 2008 Share #5 Posted November 22, 2008 I'd like to post the "Barnack Kamera" and "LECA" brochures reproduced in Van Hasbroek... but time ago I got buffed from moderators about attaching images scanned from copyrighted books... Robert J Posted December 15, 2008 Share #6 Posted December 15, 2008 The leica name was not actually engraved on the camera until the introduction of the model II camera in 1932.
