andybarton Posted October 8, 2006 Share #1 Posted October 8, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) Bill Palmer was staying in a hotel around 100m from the one where my wife and I stayed in Paris over the weekend, so we caught the Metro back to Montmartre. Thinking that a night-cap would be a grand idea, we dropped into a bar opposite Abbess Metro station. This guy was trying very hard to entertain the odd customer (and us), and there were three people clapping him at the end of each song (guess who...) So, here's one from midnight last night, at the wrong end of the bottle of red the three of us shared. Maybe I should shoot after an evening out more often R8/DMR/ISO800/28 1/12th second at f2.8/ handheld Welcome, dear visitor! richam Posted October 8, 2006 Share #2 Posted October 8, 2006 Andy, Nice tones and composition. Caught the lonely atmosphere of the place. Cheers. Mike
elansprint72 Posted October 8, 2006 Share #3 Posted October 8, 2006 If this is one of the out-takes, I can't wait to see your entry to the competion. Well done! Pete.
andybarton Posted October 8, 2006 Author Share #4 Posted October 8, 2006 Cheers, guys. Anything I have shown this afternoon, is just a shot from the weekend and none of them will be / are similar to the one that I will submit to Steve. This one was at the end of a very long, but enjoyable, day... We should all get together more often.
robert_parker Posted October 8, 2006 Share #5 Posted October 8, 2006 Andy -- is that the bar that had the just slightly transvestite looking lady in Moulin Rouge costume at the far end.....

stunsworth Posted October 9, 2006 Share #9 Posted October 9, 2006 It'll probably be the weekend before I can post any of the shots I took yesterday (Sunday), but isn't it strange how we seem to be surrounded by images when we're not deliberately looking for them, and when we have to shoot to order there are none to be seen ;-)
andybarton Posted October 9, 2006 Author Share #10 Posted October 9, 2006 That's why it's a "Challenge". Who'd be a Pro, eh? At least we don't need to do two Challenges every day just to pay the rent... I don't take "people" shots, as you know, but I was a bit braver when I took this one. Must have been because Bill Palmer was sitting on the side of the table nearest our friend here... Could have been the Merlot, though.
bill Posted October 12, 2006 Share #11 Posted October 12, 2006 Bloody hell... I must have been more drunk than I thought... I thought the world was still in colour at that point in the evening... Regards, Bill
fotografr Posted October 13, 2006 Share #12 Posted October 13, 2006 Good looking shot, Andy. And at 1/12th!! I think the others must have been drinking the merlot while you were playing with your DMR.
