lambroving Posted June 22, 2006 Share #5 Posted June 22, 2006 Like the first one although the Velvia is just a bit "over the top".
stuny Posted June 24, 2006 Share #6 Posted June 24, 2006 Marcus - Of the two I prefer the first. It's lovely colors, framing, and remaining details in the darker areas work wonderfully together. Stuart
mhanke Posted June 24, 2006 Author Share #7 Posted June 24, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) Thanks all for your kind comments! Regarding the possibly too vivd colours of the Velvia, I have to accept the responsibility myself: I scanned the slides to have them enlarged for my staircase. However, my experience was that the print service I give the files to is reducing the saturation too much, especially in the reds. Consequently, I slightly enhance the saturation in that tonal rage (about 5 to 8%), which results in the depiction on some monitors to be a bit too saturized. In the future, I will store the screen version before executing the changes in saturation. Regards, Marcus
