Guest flatfour Posted October 28, 2008 Share #3 Posted October 28, 2008 As far as I know they were de-rated 911 engines. The photo was taken in 1986. It took two attempts to hook up and this was as the pilot decided to go around.
stuny Posted October 28, 2008 Share #4 Posted October 28, 2008 Anthony - Lovely composition, detail, light and slight toning. This particular model and make of German aircraft (properly a zeppelin since it has a rigid airframe vs. blimps which do not, and filled with helium) was just approved for passenger use by the Federal Aviation Agency in the US, and has begun one-hour flights at 1000 to 1500 foot altitude costing$500 per person. This might be bad timing for the new business.
