azzo Posted October 6, 2006 Share #5 Posted October 6, 2006 Theo.....I like this image though personally i'd rather have it in B&W. I also played a bit with the blacks & grey tones in photoshop after i added some contrast to it. But anyway, it's good and the composition is great. fuego Posted October 6, 2006 Author Share #6 Posted October 6, 2006 Thank you all for your comments Azzo, I think that this is at the limits of contrast, before start losing detail in his face. But feel free to post your modifications if you like, I'm interested. regards, T.O.
azzo Posted October 6, 2006 Share #7 Posted October 6, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) THEO..... I wouldn't dare post someone else's photo, not even if i knew how to post. I open an image on PS, draw my conclusion from my point of view. Then i close Photo Shop and delete the image. When i give advice, it is my honest opinion only. The author may like or not like my idea, and he or she has every right to do so.I can make mistakes also, but they would be genuine ones. When earlier i told you that i'd rather have your image in B&W, 'cos i believe that by doing so, it will look even stronger than it already is. Best Regards AZZO

fuego Posted October 8, 2006 Author Share #9 Posted October 8, 2006 OK Azzo, no worries! I actually asked you to post your image 'cause I was really willing to see your point, it's always interesting to know how another photographer "sees" the same picture. Your comments are much appreciated in any case. Wilfredo, cheers! T.O.
vic vic Posted October 8, 2006 Share #10 Posted October 8, 2006 theo - i dont know what u mean by b/w.. and i dont know what u mean by adding grain in photoshop... ya want b/w wit grain - use film (apx 400 in rodinal is amazing for that) then print it in darkroom :-))) at the moment - it does look like film grain - it doesnt look like b/w (i dont mean the yellow tones)... at most - it looks like starnge LITH print... :-)))))))
