HPetrit Posted October 16, 2008 Share #1 Posted October 16, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi. I am so new at digital cameras. What is the best setting to use for all pictures? Normal mode, simple, intel mode? I'm just so confused. One more thing. A lot of times at night or day, the picture quality is so bad. It's distorted and noisy. Does this happen to anyone? Please let me know what you experts think.
Advertisement Posted October 16, 2008 Posted October 16, 2008 Hi HPetrit, Take a look here C-Lux. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
earleygallery Posted October 16, 2008 Share #2 Posted October 16, 2008 I would advise you to use it on Normal Mode with the ISO set to 100 and flash off. If you use it on Intelligent or Auto modes the ISO will vary shot to shot. I find I get better images with flash off unless it is necessary, then I just switch it to auto flash. stuny Posted October 16, 2008 Share #3 Posted October 16, 2008 I also find that in low light it will under expose if you let it select the slowest shutter speed since it's base setting is fairly fast (1/15th or 1/30th). Since I can handhold well, I moved the mimimum shutter speed to 1/2 and now get better exposed low-light shots. If you use the stabilization feature, use it in setting #2. Guest s.m.e.p. Posted October 16, 2008 Share #4 Posted October 16, 2008 Read the manual. That will help.
