pierovitch Posted October 10, 2008 Share #3 Posted October 10, 2008 Dropped one on an operating theatre floor.Managed to break the fall with my foot but it rolled across the floor.I put it back on the camera and continued shooting. Leica checked it out and no optical problems. Wore out a few bodies on it. Great lens.
fernando_b Posted October 10, 2008 Share #4 Posted October 10, 2008 << I put it back on the camera and continued shooting >>. Please excuse me for the slight OOT, but I want to share my experience. While I was cleaning my R 35 Elmarit, I accidentally dropped it on a marble floor. The red half sphere detached from the lens, and the hood has a little sign, but it is working perfectly. This robustness seems common to all Leica lenses. Fernando.
