carylwithay Posted October 7, 2008 Share #1 Posted October 7, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) I saw this man in his wonderful jacket and asked if I could thake his photo. He seemed pleased but he did pose in an unusual way. He did not seem as stern as he looks here. Caryl

carylwithay Posted October 8, 2008 Author Share #3 Posted October 8, 2008 The way I work is purely experimental. I can never remember what I did. I paint and erase so much that it does not pay to have the program keep track. I rarely use the same sequences twice. I know this is not too helpful, but , if you have the program, just experiment and see what happens. That is what I do I have very little control over Studio Artist because i have not taken the time to watch the tutorials. I just play and have fun Caryl

The guy is so staid that your rendition makes it more so and is humorous to me. Love it! Here's what I did from an old photo shot back in the day. It was shot with with an Exakta but then I copied the print with a Leica D1, so I guess it's okay here. I use a discontinued Hitachi tablet to paint with, works fine. Photoshop then Corel Painter... thompsonkirk Posted October 25, 2008 Share #6 Posted October 25, 2008 I wonder what the original of the 'stern' fellow looked like? Seems like it might have been a very good photograph! Kirk
