Advertisement Posted October 1, 2008 Posted October 1, 2008 Hi JHAG, Take a look here Lumix G1 > Leica. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
luigi bertolotti Posted October 2, 2008 Share #2 Posted October 2, 2008 I think, at the moment, NOTHING at all (they have decided even not to put the Leica brand name on the lens...) : but my speculation is that if this interesting camera should result in a commercial success, Leica could evaluate to make something on its base... from simply a small dedicated line of lenses to rebranding it with a little re-engineering around the lens mount...or a dedicated adapter... mechanically, G1 is so thin that it could even accept M mount lenses... focus via EVF... (and so becoming a sort of "Digital CL" ? ) I think it's all about this tentative to revitalize the 4/3 std. with the "micro" variant... will it finally acquire a solid base of users ? If not so, the volumes that Leica could make with such a camera would be terribly low... I hope they have learned the Digilux 3 lesson...
