It was of a musical performance where EVERYTHING—the evening dresses of the performers, the carpet, the drapings—was deep purple. Eine kleine Nachtmusik in the Vatican ... the only thing not purple was the grand piano. Even the faces of the musicians had an unhealthy tinge. And that was in the U.S.A.
