Advertisement Posted October 2, 2006 Posted October 2, 2006 Hi jmr, Take a look here Curved Wall. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
stuny Posted October 2, 2006 Share #2 Posted October 2, 2006 John - the placement and curve of the wall, along with the tones, make for a most appealing scene.
azzo Posted October 5, 2006 Share #3 Posted October 5, 2006 JR....I've tried cropping out the O shaped branch to the top and also added more contrast and minus some brightness. The landscape format along with the curved wall work well, in my opinion. Regards AZZO
zanydave Posted October 5, 2006 Share #4 Posted October 5, 2006 Has an effect similar to infrared, very appealing. Dave.
jmr Posted October 5, 2006 Author Share #5 Posted October 5, 2006 Stuart, thanks for your kind comments - much appreciated. AZZO, thanks for the suggestion, I think you're right about the image benefiting from a little more contrast. The crop works well too, it creates a more intense image, although it loses something along with the brightness at the top of the frame. Thanks again for taking the time. azzo Posted October 5, 2006 Share #6 Posted October 5, 2006 J R.......NO PROB re TIME. Re brightness on top......tends to pull the attention towards it, whilst you want the attention on the curved wall. Again.. only my honest opinion. jmr Posted October 5, 2006 Author Share #7 Posted October 5, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) Dave, thanks, it does look a little that way I suppose. AZZO, ok, so I'm convinced enough to give it a try - what do you think?
azzo Posted October 5, 2006 Share #8 Posted October 5, 2006 J R The crop is good, but maybe slightly more contrast through levels or curves. See what works best for you. It needs to be punchier from my point of view. Regards AZZO
azzo Posted October 6, 2006 Share #9 Posted October 6, 2006 JOHN.....I tried your image on P S at home, hope it's ok with you!? Don't worry but,it's deleted already. Added some noise, enhanced some blacks in levels and sharpened. Slightly PUNCHIER & FANTASTIC....Especially with your adjusted crop.
