When I scan, I try to get a flat image out of the scanner and then adjust in PS to my taste - so this is fine by me on the DMR too. Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

I really like the color photos best. The saturation and hue strike me as being remarkably correct for your subject in these conditions. Great sharpness in the capture, too. Thanks for sharing. I was taken, as a very small boy, to ride on the trams in Liverpool during the last week that they were operating. Anyone remember the trolley bus? Used to cause a great deal of disruption in Manchester if the driver had to take avoiding action and became "off his trolley", they had to send for a heavy-duty tow tractor to bring the bus back to the overhead cables. We used to ride on them when we went Christmas shopping. I am pretty sure they used to have diesel engines as well as electric motors, so that when they got to the end of the catenary system, they could continue their journey. I might be wrong, though. I used to take one to and from school near Uxbridge when I was a very small boy, in the care of my sister who was probably only 9 or 10 at the time. I loved the way they glided almost silently and was amazed at the intricacy of the overhead wires. We always tried to sit up top on the front seats with that fantastic panoramic view of the road ahead. Then, one Monday morning in what must have been 1961 or 1962 my father dropped me and sister on the Uxbridge Road in Hayes to take the trolley bus to school only to find that they had all been replaced over the weekend by brand spanking new red Routemaster buses. I was devastated by the loss of the trolley bus and have never trusted weekends since. It is sad to admit it but I have an old Matchbox model of a trolley bus sitting in my drawer as we speak.
