BTW, here is the waitress who took the group picture. According to the way she is holding the DMR, I'm not so sure she really studied photography :)

And thanks to the person who lent me the Noctilux. I think it was Erl. I had never shot with this lens before and now, I want one but cannot afford it and the M8 and the 24mm and the 75/2 :(

I'm quite amazed that it is perfectly usable at f/1.

Here is a pic of the waitress/photographer receiving tuition from Robert Parker on how to use his camera. Although officially shot within the designated time frame, this image is not being submited for the "One Challenge".

It is the first image scanned on my new Nikon LS5000. I must say it is a dinky toy after the LS8000!

Cheers,

Erl

She seems pretty happy to be holding five grands worth of kit, even if she doesn't know how to support the lens when shooting :)

Nice to see that you got home safe and sound Erl, and thanks for making the effort to join the fun.

Erl, hope the jet lag isn't too bad. Any luck with your films?

No luck with the films. I fear the worst. I really don't expect to see them again.

I will never travel with film again. Can't believe I am saying this!

My final justificatiuon to buy the M8.:D

I can't begin to say how sorry I am Erl.

Here's a shot from the restaurant we went to in the evening. Bill Palmer continuallly adopted the kind of pose that I thought had gone out of fashion years ago :-)

Canon 5D, 28mm Elmarit.
