Pete,

So now I have to go into my database and start looking for what kind of airplane is attached ... or stay awake the rest of the night. Thanks, mate, realy appreciate it :D

If you started looking alphabetically, you would not need to go past the second letter. ;)

I can't think of anything else entirely made from stainless.

Hang on Pete, I'll get me flaming Pencil out .... Briscut, Brisket ... umm

And don't forget all the B-s ... starting with B1 and I guess up to B-52. Now THAT would be a sight, B52 in stainless.

Nah, it will be British. So I guess you're right: Flaming Pencil.

Man if I could conjur Jaws mate. Hey I remember this half inch sheet of highly alloyed stainless that was being tested for some sort of ultimate durability or something. After they finished it was sitting up against the retaining wall behind mech eng labs and a snail up and died on it. Drilled a hole straight through in three months.

I know, I was there a couple of months ago. Found it by chance, a most pleasant surprise. The cold war exhibit is good to, although I felt a bit nervous walking under the Vulcan hanging from the ceiling, not to mention the Lightning suspended vertically!

I should post some shots as well, I guess....:o

It turned out Patricia's late father was posted at Cosford during WWII on Lancasters, so we have some ancient photographs of the field too.
