" year waiting time is almost a killer in today's digital world. Further giving details like 14MP sensor today is really silly, because as we see already today Canon can bring 16MP in APSC and low noise till ISO 3200 and above. So in 2 years the state of the art will be 18-20MP in APSC - not saying this is needed, but it will still be used as selling argument for cameras. I wonder if they'll leave Pentax behind? I like the idea of small pocketable high quality cameras* – lugging a big dSLR about is getting harder for me. *wonder where that idea came from? Steve (OP) speaks of "rumoured APS-C sensor hybrid DSLRs." I've missed the rumors--what's 'hybrid' here? Since the camera is nearly 2 years away, how do we know it will challenge microFourThirds, or that mFT will still be around? Just picking up on two current buzzwords? We shall see how far, how strange these bunch of losers who can't compete in the DSLR market can go, you are right on - they don't even have to build a camera actually, all they need is a buzzword. Not too large a terrirory to conquer, I should think - especially three years later, when the adversary has been replaced by something more advanced, one might suppose. Oh please... Who cares what Samsung will be doing in a year? How long did people wait for the DP-1 from Sigma, and howz that working out, hmm?
