redoutback Posted August 29, 2008 Share #1 Posted August 29, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi, I had my D2 lately and love it so much - looks beautiful, takes great picutre. I know it has its flaws (I don't think no camera is perfect in every aspect), but I think it's one of the best Digital camera and getting rare! So I decided to have another one - clean and nice one - as for my collection. How do you think of D2 - worth to have as a collection? Cheers, Ed
Advertisement Posted August 29, 2008 Posted August 29, 2008 Hi redoutback, Take a look here Digilux 2 - worth to keep as a collection. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
paga Posted August 29, 2008 Share #2 Posted August 29, 2008 I agree 100%, keep it... unless something awesome shows up at photokina
Ruhayat Posted August 29, 2008 Share #3 Posted August 29, 2008 Here's hoping for a 4/3 Digilux 4 in a smaller Digilux 2-like body and design. That ought to match the size and ergonomics of a film M better than the M8, I should think. Hey, if the Olympus e5XX form factor including 14-50mm lens (28-100mm 35mm equivalent) can do it, one can dream, right?
daveleo Posted August 29, 2008 Share #4 Posted August 29, 2008 *** keep it *** i am keeping my D2 even after it comes back with its replaced sensor and also after i buy the new micro4/3 D2 replacement ( !! ) that i am dreaming Leica debuts at photokina. i stopped trading in my used cameras years ago, and have accumulated a neat collection of "old friends" and a bunch more..... the D2 is a jewel..... keep it and grow older together ;>)) regards
jaapv Posted August 29, 2008 Share #5 Posted August 29, 2008 I agree 100%, keep it... unless something awesome shows up at photokina And even then - keep it. I doubt anything like it will ever be built again...
Overgaard Posted August 29, 2008 Share #6 Posted August 29, 2008 Collecting stuff and not using it ... I'm against that. But I'm for keeping "old friends" one have used a lot even one won't be using them in the future. But having them sitting there, reminding one how great it was ... that I'm for. wakewood Posted August 29, 2008 Share #8 Posted August 29, 2008 Indicator to me is R7: classic heavy weight sells below D2 digi lightweight... making of a classic collectible? No, but a cam to own (and enjoy). I my case I am "desperately" waiting for the senor to fail me - but it wouldn't do that despite 4 odd years of mostly 37deg C & 98% humidity and kids hands exploring... Overgaard Posted August 29, 2008 Share #9 Posted August 29, 2008 it wouldn't do that despite 4 odd years of mostly 37deg C & 98% humidity and kids hands exploring... You don't have a swimming pool? ;-) Jaap, If I bought back a Digilux 1 again, which I may do, my wife would use it.
