timetraveller Posted July 30, 2008 Share #1 Posted July 30, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi, I'd like to get one of these, and I don't find ANY place in Europe to order it. I've only found some stores in the US (cameraquest) and Japan, but they charge me more for the shipping costs than the actual value of the strap....(35$ strap, 40$ shipping) Thank you
Advertisement Posted July 30, 2008 Posted July 30, 2008 Hi timetraveller, Take a look here Deluxe voigtlander strap.Where to buy in Europe??. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
luigi bertolotti Posted July 30, 2008 Share #2 Posted July 30, 2008 I suppose that even you'd find one in Europe, the shipping costs would be not so different... trivial advice... buy something else at Camerquest to better justify the shipping costs... Guest zwicko Posted July 30, 2008 Share #4 Posted July 30, 2008 Hi, did you already contact Foto Mundus in Germany? They don´t have it on their website but maybe they can order one for you. Foto Digital Mundus Mundus is the largest Voigtlander dealer in Europe. Cheers, Z.

bobtodrick Posted July 30, 2008 Share #6 Posted July 30, 2008 Your point Kenneth? I had an R2 body (Voightlander) with a 35 Summicron Asph attached, now a Lumix with two of the 3/4 Leica lenses...I'm not welcome here?
jlancasterd Posted July 30, 2008 Share #7 Posted July 30, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) Off topic maybe, or have I clicked on the wrong forum Not really - I use a Voigtlander wide fabric strap on my M8 and find it suits my needs better than the 'official' Leica strap. Re- being not welcome hear- I did not say that- I guess I meant that maybe a Voigtlander forum might be the better place to post a request
timetraveller Posted July 31, 2008 Author Share #9 Posted July 31, 2008 Kenneth, a lot of Leica owners, use this Deluxe voigtlander strap in their cameras because they find it much more confortable and useful than the Leica's. Just in case you don't know it....

Just in case you don't know it.... Really, tell me more. I always assumed that a strap is a strap. When I used Nikon Cameras I had a Nikon strap. When I bought an M6 I bought a Leica strap. Don't ask my why I bought a Leica strap. I guess I needed a strap and I was buying a Leica camera Welcome, dear visitor! jlancasterd Posted July 31, 2008 Share #12 Posted July 31, 2008 Is this the one you mean- and what is the big deal with this? Yes - this is the one we mean. It's soft, much more comfortable than the standard Leica strap, and stows into a camera bag more easily. Only available in black these days, unfortunately. Only available in black these days, unfortunately. This was available when I looked just now. I must admit I always preferred the leather straps supplied with cameras of the past and for many years I used a length of 7mm kernmantle in my mountaineering days which performed better in the wet

kenneth Posted July 31, 2008 Share #17 Posted July 31, 2008 James- If you read the whole thread you will see, I think, that you are missing the point. I am suggesting that exploring Voigtlander websites is the best way to find out about availability of Voigtlander equipment. I Googled the request and found the item the poster was looking for straight away
earleygallery Posted July 31, 2008 Share #18 Posted July 31, 2008 Well given that a large number of Leica rangefinder photographers also own VC lenses I think its fair to ask the question here. I just googled 'Voigtlander Forum' and it brought be me back here anyway!

timetraveller Posted August 1, 2008 Author Share #20 Posted August 1, 2008 Kenneth, I think you're missing the whole thing here. If you just googling found the voigtlander strap in Europe, why don't you just tell everybody? The url and prices that I requested from the beginning. You don't tell because you DON'T KNOW, you can only criticize without knowing. Ignorance is the most daring sickness... There's only places in US and Japan selling this strap and a few in UK, and I can assure that you can't find the UK places just "googling"...
