Hi,

I'd like to get one of these, and I don't find ANY place in Europe to order it.

I've only found some stores in the US (cameraquest) and Japan, but they charge me more for the shipping costs than the actual value of the strap....(35$ strap, 40$ shipping)

Thank you

If you mean the wide Voigtlander strap, Robert White (Robert White - Specialist Camera and Photographic Suppliers of Nikon, Canon, Leica, Hasselblad, Mamiya, Zeiss Ikon, Voigtlander, Quantum etc.) has them for £19 plus VAT (17.5% in UK) and postage, and Ffordes (https://secure.ffordes.com/index.htm) have them for £26.99, VAT included, plus postage.

Your point Kenneth?

I had an R2 body (Voightlander) with a 35 Summicron Asph attached, now a Lumix with two of the 3/4 Leica lenses...I'm not welcome here?

Re- being not welcome hear- I did not say that- I guess I meant that maybe a Voigtlander forum might be the better place to post a request

Kenneth, a lot of Leica owners, use this Deluxe voigtlander strap in their cameras because they find it much more confortable and useful than the Leica's. Just in case you don't know it....

Really, tell me more. I always assumed that a strap is a strap. When I used Nikon Cameras I had a Nikon strap. When I bought an M6 I bought a Leica strap. Don't ask my why I bought a Leica strap. I guess I needed a strap and I was buying a Leica camera

Is this the one you mean- and what is the big deal with this?

Yes - this is the one we mean. It's soft, much more comfortable than the standard Leica strap, and stows into a camera bag more easily. Only available in black these days, unfortunately.

This was available when I looked just now. I must admit I always preferred the leather straps supplied with cameras of the past and for many years I used a length of 7mm kernmantle in my mountaineering days which performed better in the wet

James- If you read the whole thread you will see, I think, that you are missing the point. I am suggesting that exploring Voigtlander websites is the best way to find out about availability of Voigtlander equipment. I Googled the request and found the item the poster was looking for straight away

Well given that a large number of Leica rangefinder photographers also own VC lenses I think its fair to ask the question here. I just googled 'Voigtlander Forum' and it brought be me back here anyway!

OK James- if it makes you happier- you win

Kenneth, I think you're missing the whole thing here.

If you just googling found the voigtlander strap in Europe, why don't you just tell everybody?

The url and prices that I requested from the beginning.

You don't tell because you DON'T KNOW, you can only criticize without knowing. Ignorance is the most daring sickness...

There's only places in US and Japan selling this strap and a few in UK, and I can assure that you can't find the UK places just "googling"...
