I guess I should have paid for the rush when my DX went bad on my M7.

 

The first trip was 14 weeks. They installed the optical DX reader, but did not test it, and upon return, I found it working only intermittently. Back to Leica 5 weeks ago, and no word on how long this time.

 

I'm saddened that I have to make a choice between spending a few hundred extra to get the repair done right and efficiently, or wait, and wait, and wait, with no guarantee anything will be accomplished.

 

Leica US customer service said they would expedite, as this was the 4th trip back for defects. I will let you know if it makes it back in less than the 14 weeks the previous trip took.
