nealf Posted September 17, 2006 Author Share #4 Posted September 17, 2006 The detail in your shot is incredible. What were you using to shoot it? Peter This was shot with one of Leica's partners in the 4/3 system (had to Leica in there somehow), Olympus e-300 with the kit 14-45/3.5 lens. peterb Posted September 18, 2006 Share #5 Posted September 18, 2006 Was that shot RAW and processed? (And if so, how so? Would love to achieve that kind of detail.) Peter
nealf Posted September 18, 2006 Author Share #6 Posted September 18, 2006 Was that shot RAW and processed? (And if so, how so? Would love to achieve that kind of detail.) Peter Peter, Nope, this was a jpeg, you should see the full sized image. I am very impressed by Olympus glass and this is from a lens that some class as "garbage". I also have the 14-54/2.8 and it is better than this one, but mostly on the distortion side not sharpness. The 14-45/3.5 has a bit of barrel distortion throughout its range. The Olympus 4/3 system (and along with that the entire 4/3 system panasonic and Leica included) produces very impressive images, those who knock it haven't tried it.
