palmskov Posted September 17, 2006 Share #3 Posted September 17, 2006 To be quite honest I think we all should consider twice before uploading photos. Considering whether the photos are THAT interesting they need to be published in this forum Normally many of your shots are fine. However I find this whole serie plain boring. A serie of a couple playing around, should perhaps have been kept for you and the couple only. I know this is a harsh critique but it's my opinion in this matter. Keep up the good work and lets see some real eyecatchers next time;)
jmr Posted September 17, 2006 Share #4 Posted September 17, 2006 Victor, I think the first shot in the second post is the strongest here - it has more intensity to my eye, perhaps because it's a little more straightforward.
stevem7 Posted September 18, 2006 Share #5 Posted September 18, 2006 I like these and enjoyed the 2nd set. I usually really like ALL of your shots. Very nice and very fun.
vic vic Posted September 18, 2006 Author Share #6 Posted September 18, 2006 thanks alot for your comments... nikolaj - no problems man... it is your full rite not to like those photos, and actually, im thanksful to u for your honesty and no the critique is not harsh to me :-))) there is some catch about those photos (i will not say what it is now of course), but if u dont see it then either i have made it too misleading or too boring at least for u. so this is something i have to concider. john, ya - that shot is a kind of classic framing - very eassy to look at indeed, i also loved it rite on the light table for its balance and simplicity:-) steve - thanks man.... about these photos and my photos in general :-))))) man, enjoy your noctilux :-)) i hope i will join u soon with that :-)))) if u like it - try also the 75 summilux (dont be bothered about the fact that the 75 summicron supposed to be far better.... u have noctilux now, so u know what it is "charcter" and "charizma" :-)))))))))))

vic vic Posted September 18, 2006 Author Share #8 Posted September 18, 2006 stefan.... we are surrounded with superlatives tat lost their meaning... in this forum... in this digital era... people look at photograph for a couple of seconds... ya, there are alot of junk over the internet - sure.... there are alot of junk talks as well - sure agree with u. there is a cinical use of superlatives... not only on this forum, and not only in the era of internet - agree with u.... but here it is - something that tries to go deeper... on the internet. look the way i talk, the way i make things. i try - if it will be successful on the internet - bravo to me. if not - nothing happened - i tried... look at the photos carefully - for more than a few seconds. look deeper. try to understand what they are about. it is not only what u see obviously. try to read what i write more carefully and soryy - i write very fast so alot of mistakes... dont jump - just give it more time - a little more..... trust me - i dont do things in order "just to do".. and in photography.. im not "naive" - u may see it yourself by now..... whether those photos are successful with what it is behind them.. well - this is different story - critique is welcomed - most welcomed.... but forst - try to see.... it is not that hidden as it may appear from my writting now. about light - well - next time i will aks the architect to build different windows....:-))))))))) i like the lighting in particualr case for what i done in those photos. but true - it is not a "creative" or "breathtaking ligt" - agree with u. it is just not the goal of those photos to make it here. and no, in it not contest - it is a series of work... again - sucessful or not - it is a question that needs answers - sure. palmskov Posted September 20, 2006 Share #18 Posted September 20, 2006 Hi Vic, since I claimed this serie a bit boring, I came across some photos of my own and was quite astonished to see the obviously similarity of my friend Thomas and yours. Would you agree? Welcome, dear visitor! As registered member you'd see an image here… Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members!
