kenneth Posted May 13, 2008 Share #1 Posted May 13, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have just bought, on approval, a Leitz Wetzlar 28mm Elmarit 2.8-R 3 cam lens which came with a bayonet fix hood and captive UV filter which I think is 48mm? Is it possible to buy other filters, i.e. yellow filters for black and white photography. Does the group also think that this is a suitable lens to use on my R8. Advertisement Posted May 13, 2008 Posted May 13, 2008 Hi kenneth, Take a look here Drop in Leica filters?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
earleygallery Posted May 13, 2008 Share #2 Posted May 13, 2008 I think you are referring to one of the 'series' filters, which all fit between the lens and hood. You can buy other series filters, or 48mm filters or a 48 - 49/52 step ring (but you probably won't then be able to fit the hood).
kenneth Posted May 13, 2008 Author Share #3 Posted May 13, 2008 James Are you saying that other Leica filters are not available for this lens which is the 28mm 2.8 Elmarit-R lens referred to in the other post you have commented on
jaapv Posted May 13, 2008 Share #4 Posted May 13, 2008 Probably series VII. Contact Willkommen bei Foto Huppert who will be able to provide the correct filter.

You will find lots of s/h filters on e bay as well!
