Welcome :D

Am I correct in thinking that your lens is the TV version that has been modified? There is no cut out in the rear element.

Did you purchase the lens already modified or did you have someone convert it to the M mount? I have a TV lens and find it very useful on the M8. The UV-IR filter was rather expensive though.

Sorry ! ! my English is very very very bad ... lol ... " go " !

Yes Bob is TV version ... very good and simple for modified en Leica mount!

The Canon 7 version is more complicated - the optic construction is identical.

My original lens had a modified mounting of visoflex… correct for argentic Leica !

For the M8, the new mount is perfect ...

The UV/IR filter ! ! oualou ! ! ! yes ! very expensive in diameter 62

@Stephan ... Yes in France ... ( cocorico ! ! )

Hi Phillipe!

I'd like to know if this conversion was done in Europe?

I recently missed an 0,95 at an auction (arrived 5 minutes too late!), and I'm keen to get one someday, but I don't know anyone who converts to Leica mount - and this conversion looks perfect.

Thanks!

To give you an idea of what the lens is capable of at full aperture here is a part of a series which was taken for an artist's album cover at a debut concert in LA last year. The stage background has been removed for the cover. Unfortunately I didn't have a large enough UV-IR filter at the time and the background was a black synthetic cloth drape lit by lamps rich in IR :( . Tungsten light levels were extremely low, 1/30-1/60 at ISO 640-1250 f0.95. Maybe the suit was slightly dark gray bluish/magenta. :D

@fotograph

The 0.95 and M8 or other body M is perfect ...

no mecanic coupling problem, no parallax problem, no view problem, no light in viewer problem, no focusing problem ...

@Hacker

The 0.95 on line is for Canon 7 model ... difficult for adapting on Leica, not for mount, for coupling ... the TV model is better.

@Eric ... tout va bien ... si tu veux, tu peux me contacter par mail.

Noctilux is Noctilux ... Canon is Canon :)

@gravastar ...

Oh yes ! classic result ... the black is bleu or the black is brown magenta ...

is not the lens ... is the big big big problem Leica M8 and IR ray.

My Cron 90 not to have UV/IR filter… that to be terrible ... for black color !:D
