farnz Posted August 4, 2008 Share #21 Posted August 4, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) I was going to reply that Safari doesn't work on a Windows platform, Jaap, but I checked before posting and of course it does! Thanks for the tip. And, yes, your right I don't have the same problem because there are no drop down lists but I'd prefer not to have to use Safari just to browse the Forum, and besides it never used to happen. That said, Safari seems WAY faster than IE7 (and Firefox) and if I manage to strike up decent relationship with it and get used to its foibles (no multiple paging) then it might just be the start of a beautiful friendship. jaapv Posted August 4, 2008 Author Share #22 Posted August 4, 2008 Indeed it does work on Windows that is fairly recent) but the main advantage is that it handles Jpegs about three times as fast as IE or Firefox. Even a totally sirupy site like Photobucket speeds up to a decent pace.

Thanks to alerting me to Safari for Windoze, Jaap, it's now my preferred browser because of its speed and absence of IE7 silliness and misbehaviour (thanks! ) The only problem I have is that I can't find a way to attach pictures to post on the forum as per my thread here: How do you post pictures using Safari for Windoze? Have you managed to find a way please? Pete.
