enboe Posted March 21, 2008 Share #1 Posted March 21, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) Well, the 138 day odyssey is over. My Leica M7 was returned to me today repaired, surprisingly, free of charge. It is worth noting that the two issues I submitted the camera for, the DX reader and dust in the unsealed eyepiece, are prior known issues that the company has developed fixes for. I was surprised, however, that these items were repaired, the back door ASA dial was repaired, the camera was given a full CLA, and the shutter speeds were adjusted, all for free, all 3 years after my original passport expired. Yes, my M7 is one of the first ones. So, while it's been a long wait, I definitely am happy with the outcome. Time to fog some halide over the weekend. cbretteville Posted March 21, 2008 Share #3 Posted March 21, 2008 Good to see Leica's CS did good even if it took 4+ months. Enjoy your M7! - Carl
