It is not that uncommon and I have seen servel of them previously. that was the problem, it was not black paint! it was black chrome!..so I did not buy it...I returned it to the seller... kodaktrix #8 Posted March 13, 2008 Jan, all the buttons and levers plus the lightmeter cover seem to be black paint. The top cover is black chrome. Either it was black paint originally and replaced some time by CS by a black chrome one ( e.g. all the spare parts you get from CS today for the black M2 and M3 are black chrome), or somebody did it by himself, as there are galvanic companies who black chrome former chrome parts.
