Hello Luigi, the first type in black paint, yes there were made some hundreds..but I never see it again in black chrome finish. .this must be a refinished... did Leitz a black chrome finish at any camera at that time....no!...I do not think that it was even possible at that time! regards, Jan Quote Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
kodaktrix Posted March 13, 2008 Share #8 Posted March 13, 2008 Jan, all the buttons and levers plus the lightmeter cover seem to be black paint. The top cover is black chrome. Either it was black paint originally and replaced some time by CS by a black chrome one ( e.g. all the spare parts you get from CS today for the black M2 and M3 are black chrome), or somebody did it by himself, as there are galvanic companies who black chrome former chrome parts.
