peterb Posted September 7, 2006 Share #1 Posted September 7, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) Some other shots of the Canadian Rockies from a recent helicopter-hiking trip there. Taken with an LX1 w/f2.8 Vario Elmarit. The scenes consist of a Glacial Pond, a breathtaking waterfall, and another generally boring shot from 7900 ft. Enjoy. wide.angle Posted September 7, 2006 Share #2 Posted September 7, 2006 Peter, these are terrific shots. I especially like the first with its perspective, though the third one seems quite a classic look.
stuny Posted September 7, 2006 Share #3 Posted September 7, 2006 Peter - A lovely series, and I like all three. When I've been in similar locations I've often found the sky to be similarly lacking in color, which makes me wonder how these would look in B&W. What altitude were you at? leicamann Posted September 16, 2006 Share #6 Posted September 16, 2006 Nice stuff..the overcast conditions helped out here..if it had been a bright contrasty day..the hightlights in the water especially would have been blown out. Thanks for sharing Regards, Leicamann

peterb Posted September 17, 2006 Author Share #9 Posted September 17, 2006 Thanks for the kind comments. Truly appreciated. Hans, the shots were taken on a Heli-hiking trip to a place called Bobby Burns Lodge in the Purcell and Selkirk mountains ranges of the Canadian Rockies. It's just over the Alberta border in British Columbia. Peter
