Xmas Posted January 22, 2010 Share #624 Posted January 22, 2010 Well a Kiev with a 9cm f/2 swung to hit behind the ear will be taken as an offensive weapon. But my MP expects I will vote for him, believe in WMD (D is deception), not want him to cross the floor, and table a VONC at every opportunity, when the opposition supports the war mongers, in new Labour, not mind him claiming expenses... He does not anticipate I will recall Kipling's poem about crossing the Kabul river, or Tennyson's about the charge. It is however simple carrying a passport in gbag, and not selling newspapers, other places are worse. Noel
veraikon Posted January 23, 2010 Share #625 Posted January 23, 2010 At the 8 pm news on BFBS Radio One I heard a notice about a meeting of photographer at Trafalgar square, where they were flashing against the prohibitive laws on photographing in public areas. Then the sentence followed “The police … krmmhzzzzfnnnn. (unfortunately I am living on the absolute edge of the Drachenberg FM transmitter - and every car will disturb my FM reception.) Does anybody know what happened ? (BBC World News didn’t take notice about the meeting - and unfortunately today I don´t have a possibility to see or hear the BBC home services. )

jaapv Posted January 25, 2010 Share #632 Posted January 25, 2010 Perhaps the Schleswig-Holstein Saxe-Coburg Gotha Battenburg dynasty have run their course in England? Of course, being "English Monarchs" they never really have been accepted by us Westmerians. Yes, you guys should bring in the house of Orange again. Good solid German stock as well... delander † Posted February 22, 2010 Share #638 Posted February 22, 2010 I found it hard staying calm just reading about it. I will find it very difficult to stay calm if it happens to me. The problem is that once the police decide to stop and ask they dare not let it go. So once you refuse it will, I suspect, in every case end up with you being arrested. So the way to resolve this is for the police to be far more sensible about the whole issue of street photography. Will they ever get the message, one can only hope so. So Bob down at the station did they get the information they were asking for? Did they DNA and fingerprint you and put you on a database. They will of course have recorded the arrest. Jerry_R Posted February 22, 2010 Share #639 Posted February 22, 2010 The problem is that once the police decide to stop and ask they dare not let it go. I think so too, independently on the country.
Guest Bernd Banken Posted February 22, 2010 Share #640 Posted February 22, 2010 My wife and I planned to go to the south of Britain (Cornwall) together with our Moggy this summer. This plan I think we should forget and switch to France or even Prague..... For this behaviour I have just one phrase from a film of our famous R. Werner Faßbinder: "Angst essen Seele auf" translated roughly: Fear eats soul.
