michali Posted March 4, 2008 Share #1 Posted March 4, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) M8, TRI-ELMAR 28-35-50 set @ 50mm ISO640 distance approx. 5metres. On my way back to camp I came across this magnificent elephant bull feeding. I switched off the Land Rover & he turned to face me & started throwing dust on himself. Taken early evening yesterday at Zuka game reserve, South Africa. Thanks for viewing, MIKE

jaapv Posted March 4, 2008 Share #2 Posted March 4, 2008 Superb, Mike. I like the low-key treatment. And what a magnificent animal. No too old, I suppose, he might grow into a real tusker. And #3 is the real winner.

michali Posted March 4, 2008 Author Share #4 Posted March 4, 2008 Jaap & Maurizio- I really appreciate your comments, thank you! Jaap- I estimate that he's about 35 to 40 years old, so yes he is going to be a big tusker! MIKE

michali Posted March 6, 2008 Author Share #11 Posted March 6, 2008 Henri, Peter, Graeme & Martin- Thank you for your kind comments, always appreciated. QUOTE: "I said previously that take photo becomes a hazardous job" Henri- Yes it can be dangerous because they are wild animals and therefore unpredictable, but I always believe that as long as you respect them and behave accordingly, they will not harm you.
