peterv Posted February 22, 2008 Share #1 Posted February 22, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi all, Do any of you guys (or gals, of course) have any experience using a Leica MDa with seperate viewfinder, guessing focus with a 21 or 28 mm? I could measure the light with my M7 or MP and have an extra body... Thanks, Peter

peterv Posted February 22, 2008 Author Share #3 Posted February 22, 2008 Thanks Tom, good to hear it can work like this. Does anyone know if a Visoflex III fits the MDa? Thanks, Peter
doubice Posted February 22, 2008 Share #4 Posted February 22, 2008 Peter, All Visoflexes (I - II - IIa and III) will fit the MDa or MD-2. The MD body is the same height as a classic M body so, if you don't need the return mirror function of the III, the II will be more compact. peterv Posted February 22, 2008 Author Share #5 Posted February 22, 2008 Thanks Jan, that's really very helpfull. Since I'll probably will also want to use the Viso on the M8, I guess a Viso III would be my best choice. Peter

Yes, if you want to use the 90 degree prism finder, the III is your choice for the M8 due to the height difference between the M6TTL, M7, M8 and the earlier M bodies. luigi bertolotti Posted February 22, 2008 Share #7 Posted February 22, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have used for years (prior to M8 arrival ...) a sort of MD... my old M2 whose VF got completely black after a mountain accident... all the rest was ok... and with 21/28 around f8 you have no problem of focusing, so better with the Viso...
