Eoin Posted February 14, 2008 Share #81 Posted February 14, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) Then I have no idea what's happening to you, I remember in 1.5.4 I had an issue some what similar. click the mouse between the browser and the viewer and the image would shift colour to a more saturated look. But this disappeared with either a further update or with Leopard I can't recall exactly.

mitchell Posted February 16, 2008 Share #82 Posted February 16, 2008 Do I have this straight? LR supports the DMR, but Aperture doesn't and isn't likely to. Both support the M8. Andy, what is "DMR2M8?" In your comparison of the couple looking at flowers, do you think you could match the C1 result with more work in Aperture? Thanks for your help. Best, Mitchell
sandymc Posted February 16, 2008 Share #83 Posted February 16, 2008 Andy, what is "DMR2M8? Mitchell, DMR2M8 makes DMR files look like M8 files, allowing them to be loaded into Aperture. It's a cousin of CornerFix, and lives here: SourceForge.net: CornerFix There are previous threads that talk more about it - just search on DMR2M8 Sandy
mitchell Posted February 16, 2008 Share #84 Posted February 16, 2008 Thanks for your help Sandy. I guess I'll need to use this if I switch to A2. Best, Mitchell

sandymc Posted February 17, 2008 Share #86 Posted February 17, 2008 I’m excited about the new support for image processing plug-ins in Aperture 2.0. Any thoughts of making a CornerFix plug-in?[/url] Geoff, It's a possibility that I'm looking into. However, right now it's not clear whether or not it's actually technically possible; as a of a few days ago Apple hadn't released an SDK: Apple - Support - Discussions - Great Overview From People Using It For ... It may not be possible - Lightroom has an SDK, but it does exports only; no use for CornerFix. Sandy
Jack MacDonough Posted February 18, 2008 Share #87 Posted February 18, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) Is there a help forum for Aperture? I just downloaded it and like the format, but can't engage the use of "adjustments" They are greyed out.

kepstein Posted February 20, 2008 Share #90 Posted February 20, 2008 Aperture 2 reads my Epson RD-1 files, after running them through Adobe DNG Converter. Another improvement. Ken
cwf Posted February 20, 2008 Share #91 Posted February 20, 2008 Fwiw, I did the upgrade from 1.5.6 to 2 earlier this afternoon, without a hitch. The new version opens significantly faster on my older iMac G5 with 2GB RAM. I do have two copies of a current Aperture Vault sitting on an external drive that I intend to keep for some time as a safeguard.
Samir Jahjah Posted February 22, 2008 Share #92 Posted February 22, 2008 I installed aperture 2 and I can confirm it is indeed faster than the 1.5 version. Yet, it still does not beat my preferred RAW converter, i.e. lightzone 3 from lightcrafts. I am surprised that not so many people on this forum used Lightzone.
