Advertisement Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 Hi dseelig, Take a look here Universal Battery Charger from Delkin. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
papimuzo Posted February 8, 2008 Share #22 Posted February 8, 2008 I will wait until we see what Wilson and Tim are proposing: http://www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-forum/leica-m8-forum/42667-any-sign-hahnel-twin-charger-yet.html and Flickr: Photos from Fotogo Given the quality of Tim's productions it probably is worthwhile the wait. Naturally it is only an opinion. YMMV.

I’ve forwarded this onto our battery product manager. Kind regards, Dave McGhee Delkin Devices 800-637-8087x129
Guest jimmy pro Posted February 8, 2008 Share #25 Posted February 8, 2008 With all due respect to the kitchen table cobblers (and I really respect what they have achieved so quick to help workaround the M8's annoyances), I don't give a rat's hiney who makes it, as long as it works I'll take the first one to hit the market. But what I really want is a little travel charger for one battery with a folding plug, like everyone else makes, not a charger the size of a Buick. think Posted February 8, 2008 Share #26 Posted February 8, 2008 I've been using a Lenmar Mach 1 charger for my Canon BP511 & 512 batts along with Sony HandyCam batts. They might offer one as well and they have several different charging modules to accept their plates. Mine handles wall outlet voltages and has a cig lighter plug as well which has come in handy on more than one occasion. They are now offering a folding prong model as well though I haven't dug into the details. They are known to make adapter plates with sufficient demand. canlogic Posted February 10, 2008 Share #28 Posted February 10, 2008 I like the idea of one charger with different plates for different cameras. Would make it easier when I travel.

But please, also review in full the Hahnel Twin Charger thread!! There you'll see a much better alternative (still on the drawing board) designed for Leica nuts by Leica nuts. We could have this - patience is all that's required. If Tim Isaacs can't bring his concept to life we can still go for the Delkin (but not the other way around). skueh Posted February 10, 2008 Share #30 Posted February 10, 2008 Competition in the market place always protects the consumer. Anytime there is only one highly demanded widget to do x job, the manufacturer and marketing team can set the price anywhere they want to. 100% agree. My worry is the timeframe involved getting it produced and approved.

But the Delkin will also charge my 5d batteries and it will do two at once. I wasn't kidding about buying two of these So it's for a different purpose. TEBnewyork Posted February 15, 2008 Share #36 Posted February 15, 2008 Anyone heard anything further on this? I got an email back that they have had a number of inquiries for the Leica charger and that my request was being sent to the Battery Product Manager. I have not heard from this person.
