Advertisement Posted February 27, 2008 Posted February 27, 2008 Hi ClaudioJ, Take a look here A Leica Day . I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
bill Posted February 27, 2008 Author Share #222 Posted February 27, 2008 bill, a quick question: my Leica gear and I are separated by 280 miles until next Tuesday, much to my chagrin. I have a Ricoh GR II and a Canon 5d with me. Oh, and a 5x4 field camera! Does one have to use Leica to enter? Are dispensations available? Yours hopefully! Tim Damn Tim! That's the one rule I feel I have to enforce! Nip out and buy yourself a Panasonic! Regards, Bill
tashley Posted February 27, 2008 Share #223 Posted February 27, 2008 I do understand Bill. There is a doggy in the window here but it looks rather toothless :-( Maybe next time! Tim
PedroSimao Posted February 27, 2008 Share #224 Posted February 27, 2008 Someone has already suggested Justgiving, but it may have got lost. It's very easy to use and all you need is a credit/debit card. See here Set it up and I'm in...... Hi! someone said already that this way was not the most apropriate since they charge a commision, so that this system is not profitable to the DPS. are there any news about how people from outside UK can give their donation? in the summary I read some posts ago on the participants in the Leica Day (my sincerest congratulations to the one that had this great idea!) I realized that my contry was not in the list, so please note: Portugal - 1 (at least me, because I'll participate with my Lumix L1 with the Vario Elmarit 14-50, and I'm from Coimbra, Portugal) the instructions for the photo uploading: are already available? I just read that Mr Steven K. Lee is no longer the CEO of Leica - are there any more news about it? best regards Pedro Simao

The instructions for uploading photos will be published shortly. We are also putting in place with the DPS a way in which overseas participants can donate. Bear with us just a little longer, and welcome from Portugal! In that list I didn't mention all countries, but just for the record we now have thirty countries represented. Regards, Bill Hi Bill thanks for your answer may I suggest the publication of a book? I am very optimist about the quality of the works, and if all participants agree and give the correspondent authorization for the publication of their photos, a book can be made. I suggest that the royalties should be given to, for example, the DPS. In future editions of the Leica Day (I'm sure they will take place, due to the success of the present one) other social care institutions could be supported.
