anyone know where i can buy Milich adapters from ? I tried searching but found nothing. Do they have a website ?

i gather you can get something for the CV 12mm and 15mm that will let you attach filters

any ideas what size the resultant filters would be ?

regards

Rich,

Try reidreviews.com for the full skinny on the adaptors. They are to add coding to CV screw mount lenses but he does also make a front of lens filter adaptor for the WATE that allows the hood to be used too.

If you want to add front of lens filters to the CV15 the best way is to cut a thin (3mm) but very long piece of sellotape about a foot long and wind it round the filter mount on a 39mm filter about three times. It will then fit snugly in without coming loose. Mine has been in for a year with no disasters, and I have to take it out for use on my MP otherwise it vigs like a tunnel!

re. the 12mm: it uses a standard 55mm UV/IR filter which screws into the adapter; it can only go on one way...there is no vignetting. the adapter also has a hood section that screws onto the filter. no danger of the filterglass contacting the lens glass

re. the 15mm: it uses a standard 39mm filter which screws into the adapter/hood unit. ther have been some instances of vignetting as the hood is a bit too efficient. it is being corrected and exiting units can be sent back for modification (no charge). no danger of glass to glass contact

the WATE adapter uses the glass only from a 49mm filter.
