35mm goggle lens

It doesn't really matter, as a goggled 35mm lens will bring up the 50mm brightline frame in the finder of any M3 - M8, and the goggles make for the correct 35mm field of view using the 50mm brightlines. Of course, a 0.85 finder compared to a 0.72 will provide a correspondingly higher magnification.

Which would work best a 35mm goggle lens made for the M3 on a M body with a .72 or .85 view finder?

.85x normally as the frame is larger with that magnification. But it might be difficult for you to view all the frame if you wear spectacles. Not my case though.
