bill Posted January 21, 2008 Share #3 Â Posted January 21, 2008 There is nothing interesting about it without a viewfinder. Â Regards, Â Bill

lemalk Posted January 22, 2008 Share #5 Â Posted January 22, 2008 I guess, using Bill's criteria, a D-Lux isn't interesting either. Or most point & shoots. Â I think it's strange that there's a low-end cutoff for the Leica-branded lenses - I mean, what the heck is a Lumix Vario? Â It's also weird that this peeks out weeks before PMA '08. bill Posted January 23, 2008 Share #9  Posted January 23, 2008 Bill: Sorry to bother you with this.  Nick  Nick, No need to get huffy. I'm not bothered, (or bewitched), just bewildered.  I don't see the attraction in this camera at all. And before you ask, I have an FX01, and a Canon G7. The G7 is far bulkier, but gets far more use because it has a viewfinder. The FX01 is a handy little machine, but 95% of the time I just use it as a "lightmeter" for my unmetered cameras. I wish that Leica and Panasonic would get back to producing P&S cameras with viewfinders as Canon and Nikon do.  Regards,  Bill
earleygallery Posted January 23, 2008 Share #10 Â Posted January 23, 2008 It's your very average digicam. Yes it'll take a picture but interesting? No. Will anyone here be tempted by it? Why? Â It'd be like posting a link to the new Nissan Micra on a Porsche drivers forum.
rob_x2004 Posted January 24, 2008 Share #11 Â Posted January 24, 2008 Once Leica release the black one with the red dot passion will rekindle praise. If leica doesnt this will just remain a trashy little point and shoot that will never see the inside of a Luigi leather case and a hardley pro whatever it is called. earleygallery Posted January 24, 2008 Share #12 Â Posted January 24, 2008 It won't have a Leica makeover, its one of the 'lesser' panasonics, identified as so due to the Lumix lens. Â Would a rose by any other name smell so sweet?
