PeLu Posted 3 hours ago Share #1 Posted 3 hours ago Advertisement (gone after registration) Finally got my M11 back from Wetzlar. It spent a few weeks there after a fatal fall to a rough concrete flor where it tumbled around. Initially I sighed when I saw the external damage and tried to comfort me with words like ”patina” and ”battle scars”. But when I realized the rangefinder also was knocked out of alignment it became a matter for my insurance company. Once at Leica I discussed the possibility to have it engraved on the top plate in the same way as my M3. Logo, d.r.p, serialnumber etc. They kindly offered a MP top free of charge which I settled for. I also payed for the upgrade to an ”a la carte” leatherette. Personally I like how it turned out. Leica did an excellent job and now it looks brand new! The only exterior part still left is probably the hot shoe? Very good communication from their side through the process and also excellent service sending me a loaner M11. Thanks Leica Customer Service! Welcome, dear visitor!
