sandro Posted 3 hours ago Share #3 Posted 3 hours ago Perhaps you can give us some more details about the photos, like aperture, white balance and such. Just today I had both camera's in my hands at the Leica Store Amsterdam, the Q3 Monochrom that is. Since I am used to the rangefinder M camera's, the EVF of both camera's was a bit of a challenge. What is your main problem, autofocus versus manual, or something else? Lex
LeicaR10 Posted 3 hours ago Share #4 Posted 3 hours ago (edited) finance0402, I agree with Sandro's post above. It would be most helpful if you include; JPEG or DNG, any post processing settings to include sharpening (if any), focus point, white balance setting, etc.. Frankly, the second photo can be corrected in PP and doesn't look too far off from the first photo; sans exposure and white balance. BTW, the M11-EV1 can be a tad tricky during initial use if using focus peaking. Last, welcome to the forum. r/ Mark Edited 3 hours ago by LeicaR10
amclanejr Posted 2 hours ago Share #5 Posted 2 hours ago Also, back away with the 43mm to capture the same field of view as the 35mm.
BWColor Posted 1 hour ago Share #6 Posted 1 hour ago I really don’t know what you are doing. What are you testing, the lenses, or your ability to obtain sharp focus? If lenses, might best start with same aperture on a tripod and shooting distance with a subject having a good bit of detail. Then viewing at 100%. If you are testing your ability to focus the cameras properly, then I would suggest using both over a long period of time and get to know each camera. It is difficult for me to understand why both camera/lens combination would be somehow wanting in a major way. Another way to put this is that it is unlikely that these tools are the least capable part of the shooting system, which includes the shooter.
