PeLu Posted 5 hours ago Share #1  Posted 5 hours ago Advertisement (gone after registration) Someone wrote than the Noctilux 0,95 is the most bought and sold lens. Nailing focus exactly is hard but an EVF makes it much easier.  So with that in mind - will the launch of the M EV1 (and maybe more similar EVF cameras in the future) create an increasing demand for Noctilux lenses? FrozenInTime Posted 5 hours ago Share #2  Posted 5 hours ago The f/1.0 Noctilux had strong focus shift when stopping down from f/1 ... f/2 ...f/4 ; it would benefit most from an EVF. The larger f/0.95 was less affected.
lct Posted 3 hours ago Share #3 Â Posted 3 hours ago Besides focus shift referred to by @FrozenInTime above, fast 50mm lenses are not the most difficult to focus on RF cameras when correctly calibrated. Less so than lenses like 75/1.25, 90/1.5 or 135/3.4 for instance. It is with those lenses that the benefit of EVFs is mainly expected, i suppose, but there also situations where DoF is shallow for other reasons than fast apertures, like in macro works.
tappan Posted 3 hours ago Share #4 Â Posted 3 hours ago Or the 21mm 'Lux?
lct Posted 2 hours ago Share #5 Â Posted 2 hours ago At full aperture, 21/1.4 lenses must have a similar DoF as a 50mm lens at about f/8, i suppose. UWA lenses have a very wide DoF.
