Voting is over now and I am happy to present the results of Barnack Challenge #54:

Die Abstimmung ist beendet und ich bin froh, die Ergebnisse präsentieren zu dürfen:

Clear winner with 14 pts is the photo by Roland Zwiers! Eindeutiger Gewinner mit 14 Punkten ist das Foto von Roland Zwiers!

Second comes the photo by TomB_tx with 7 and third the photo by Imans with 6 pts. An zweiter und dritter Stelle folgen die Fotos von TomB_tx mit 7 und Imans mit 6 Punkten.

I congratulate the winners and thank everybody who took part by contributing to the challenge with their photos or just by giving their votes.

Roland Zwiers as the winner has the honor to organize the next Barnack Challenge #55. If it could start in February 2026 we might keep up with the usual  rhythm.

What must I do for the 55th edition of the Barnack challenge?
Must I formulate a theme?
Or must I also organise the event itself?
If the latter, please tell me what steps I have to make, when and how.

Well done, Roland, TomB and Imans!  I look forward to the next one.  I have just had my IIIf overhauled and given new shutter curtains; and the rangefinder optics have been renovated with most beneficial effect, so I look forward to using it next time.  So often technical problems get in the way.  On this occasion, while taking pictures with a IIIc, the advance/rewind lever had got knocked away from the advance position and toward rewind, so may shots did not come out at all, and others were much underexposed (as was the one I submitted).  Nevertheless, it is always good to have the spur to go out and take some photographs.  It would be good if more people were to take part in the Barnack Challenge!  All best,

In a previous competition you asked the participants to show alternative pictures, including pictures that were not as expected.
